It may be a two weeks internship or a year long internship; it can increase your chances of landing a good job. There are certain factors and characters that employers like in an employee. Read them so you may know what to develop to be able to attract employers.

• Work experience employers look for employability when they look and consider new graduates for a vacant position in their company. Employability means work-readiness.
• A degree or the type of course taken by the graduates sometimes may not matter as long as the graduates have the certain characters the employers like. But of course certain jobs or work should be designated to employees with certain knowledge or skills. Accounting work responsibilities cannot be given to a anyone else but with someone who has an accounting course.
• Employees must also be problem solvers. Employers appreciate employees with this kind of skills and attitude. Of course, problems are part of an association or an institution and somebody who can think of ways to solve the problem in an efficient ways is very much appreciated by employers.
• Good communication skills. Of course, communication is the top factor that an employer hires employees. There would be no business without a communication.
• Entrepreneurship is a skill. Somebody who ha this means the company will be constantly growing. This kind of skills can be acquired through internships work experience.
• Maturity is also another character that an employee has. This does mean that you are physically mature but this is in terms of being mature in company problem solving and in terms of dealing with the colleagues and workmates.
• Soft skills like management, communication, professionalism, team work and innovation should be very noticeable.
• Job centre employers also would like to consider employees with independence and creativity.

These are the characteristic that employers like in their employees. Master those and you will be considered as the top choice.

It all started as a volunteer work experience only wearing your jeans and a t-shirt. Trotting from one related project to another; if you had remembered it right you had started a young novice and know nothing at all from your career wise point of view. But you had worked hard as errand personnel yourself. You had been chiseled to get the first hand experience of the problems of a non-profit government.

Your second reason for crossing boundary is your interest as a traveler to a certain destination. In fact you have one particular destination, Germany! At first it was the tourist sights that draw you to Germany and next the culture. You were so in love with Germany that you had not visited it but you had acquired the German language. Now, you are ready for the internships work experience that you had prepared for the next 8 years. 8 years of hard work and pleasure travel.

The Neuschwanstein Castle that overlooks the beautiful Valley of Hohenschwangau is your favorite sight to visit on your yearly visit to Germany. No wonder that this castle is a familiar sight for children and adults who knew Sleeping Beauty fairytale for it is the inspiration when designing the said fairy tales castle.

The Brandenburg Gate is also another tourist destination that you had seen once together with the Berlin Wall; of course they are located at Berlin. Charlottenburg Palace is also beautiful but you had opted to stay long at The Soviet War Memorial. This time you had touched the tomb of the very heroes that fought the tyranny of Hitler. Most of these sights are visited during your gap year work experience breaks.

Now a position for as a consultant of a non-profit organization in Germany has been offered due to your work experiences abroad. A job that you know held a great responsibility but the kind of environment that you can survive beautifully

Is work experience and job – related and connected? Sad to say for those who are not vertically articulated yes they are very much. Employers of course would look for an employee with the greatest knowledge and know-how closest to the job vacancy.

Why? For if you are knowledgeable and experience your decisions making will surely be for the best of the company’s interest and it usually ensure that the key persons and the employee hired commits the least mistakes.

Some companies hire employees with the greatest experience for they know that the skills and experience of the employees will help the company grow. Competing companies even hire employees coming from the other companies. That is to ensure that they got the best in the field and they will be able to get the talents from the best companies with several internships work experience .

Average graduates find it hard competing with their batch cumlaude’s. But some really smart average students steal the limelight by getting as many work experience as they can even before they step college.

They are aiming to become a teacher then they went to volunteer to teach or tutor graders or even high school students. Then some went to developing countries and teach the English language. Smart students prepare and really make good with every work experience opportunities.

Not all students may have the intelligence to pass all levels of education with flying colors but some made it to top due to smartness, experience and knowledge. They may not have the intelligence to understand all but they have the keenness that makes them decide and work on certain decision with precision.

Do not wait for your college graduation before gaining the necessary work experience that you need to become successful. Think now and work for it as early as possible. Your little volunteer stint abroad may be the reason for you to land in the right job.
