 Description:
Volunteers on this program can help make children’s stays in the hospital more pleasant. Whether through recreation, assistance, or just company, children welcome the volunteers’ presence.

4 weeks to 6 months

San Jose area of Costa Rica
Requirements:
Volunteer Activities May Include:
- Enjoyment of working with kids
- Fantastic interpersonal skills with the patients, parents, employees and the rest of the members of the hospital community
- A special charisma for dealing with people that need special treatment and sensitivity for the conditions and afflictions of the children at the hospital.
- Participants must be 18 years or older.
- This project can only accept females.
- Knowledge of Spanish is recommended.
Activities:
Volunteer Activities May Include:
- Assisting doctors and nurses in care for children
- Helping with patient’s therapy and recreation
- Keep children company during their stay at the hospital
Price:
$1455 for 4 weeks
Working Hours:
Monday through Friday
